• The nomination for Esports Commercial Partnership of the Year followed after EStars’ partnership with Aldar Education was announced in April 2022.
• The partnership between EStars and Aldar Education is the first of its kind within the region and is being rolled out to 27,000 students in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi, UAE – 11th May 2022: EStars are delighted to confirm their nomination for the Middle East’s biggest Sports Industry Awards under the category, Esports Commercial Partnership of the Year. The award is one of 18 sport categories, which will recognise the lofty achievements of the sporting industry in the Middle East and serve to reward those who have excelled across a range of diverse sporting segments.
The partnership between EStars and Aldar Education provides students and staff of 21 schools across Abu Dhabi with the opportunity to join an Esports Club. The Club, hosted and managed by EStars, offers esports focused activities, challenges, seminars, coaching and tournaments to develop core skills. The Esports Club was designed by EStars to demonstrate the benefits of esports participation and is the first of its kind within the region.
Speaking about the nomination, Luke Stafford, CEO of EStars, said: “EStars are delighted to be nominated for the 2022 SPIA Esports Commercial Partnership of the Year Award.
We created the Esports Club to help develop core skills and for the benefits of esports to be recognised within the world of education. The Sports Industry Awards Ceremony will be held on 31st May 2022 at the W Hotel in Dubai.
